GENERAL BULLBAR FITTING GUIDE

Universal step-by-step process for all Rockarmor bullbars

⚠ Professional Installation Recommended: Rockarmor strongly recommends having your bullbar professionally fitted by a qualified 4WD installer or auto-electrician. Incorrect installation can affect vehicle safety, airbag systems, ADR compliance and your warranty. This guide is provided for general reference only — Rockarmor accepts no liability for self-installations.
1

Prepare Your Vehicle & Tools

Park on a flat, level surface and disconnect the battery negative terminal. Allow at least 2 hours for the installation.

Socket set (10–24mm)
Spanner set
Trim removal tools
Wire cutters & crimpers
Heat gun & shrink wrap
Trolley jack & stands
2

Remove Factory Bumper

Following your vehicle's manual, carefully remove the factory front bumper, indicators, fog lights and any sensors. Label all wiring connectors and store fasteners in a parts tray.

3

Install Mounting Brackets

Position the supplied mounting brackets onto the chassis rails. Hand-thread all bolts first — do not fully secure until the bullbar is offered up and aligned correctly.

4

Lift & Position Bullbar

With a second person, carefully lift the bullbar onto the mounting brackets. Align the bar centrally and ensure even gaps to the bonnet, headlights and guards.

💡 Tip: Use a trolley jack with padding to support the centre of the bar while you align the mounting points.
5

Final Assembly

Once alignment is correct, secure all fasteners progressively, working from the centre outwards in a star pattern. Hand-tightening should be firm and even — final tightening should always be performed by a qualified installer.

6

Reconnect Wiring & Sensors

Re-route and reconnect indicators, fog lights, parking sensors and any auxiliary wiring. Ensure all connectors click home and are protected with shrink wrap or loom tape where necessary.

7

Final Checks

Reconnect the battery and verify: indicators function, parking sensors recalibrated, no warning lights on dash, bullbar is square to the vehicle, and have all fasteners re-checked by a qualified installer.

💡 Tip: Take your vehicle for a short drive and re-check all fasteners after 100km — vibration can settle new fixings.
